Photoblog

Wednesday, December 1, 2010

Today while I was working extremely hard at work I decided to start a photoblog, C's Pixels. Get it? Anyways, I'm working on trying to upload a picture a day, so we'll see how long that lasts!

So if you get bored check it out http://www.cspixels.blogspot.com

Josh and Veronica Part 2

Monday, November 29, 2010

Carrie and I met up with Josh and Veronica Saturday to take some more pictures.  We were only out for about an hour and a half but ended up taking over 300 pictures, and having about 70 "good" shots.  Have to say I was pretty pleased with that.  Of course when you have 2 great subjects and the best assistant in the world (Thanks Carrie!) it helps out a lot!

We started out downtown at City Market and then went over to Bond Park in Cary.  Here's a few shots.

This is an original idea right?

His and Her rings

Probably my favorite from the day.

Josh and Veronica

Thursday, November 25, 2010

On Saturday it looks like I'll get to shoot some more pictures of Josh and Veronica! I'm super pumped that we'll get to do some more shooting.  I've been doing a lot of reading on how to get some better pictures, and I can't wait to get out and do some shooting.

I've been trying to come up with some ideas on where to take them.  I've been thinking about Duke Gardens, WRAL's Gardens, the lake behind our house, downtown, of course I'll check with the couple and see that they had in mind.  I got this new filter that turns all lights into stars which I think would look really cool for Christmas lights that are starting to appear everywhere.

Anyone else have any idea's for places in Raleigh?

Snapfish.com is having a special where if you spend $10 on something you can receive 365 4x6 pictures FREE! Just use the Code: 2010MY365 and if you don't have 365 pictures to print? Well then you can receive either 100 or 50 just with the codes 2010MY100 or 2010MY50 and all purchases must be made by 11:59 PST November 20th!

In the process of looking through and trying to find 365 pictures I have come across some of my favorites, enjoy!

Funny Story Time

Thursday, November 18, 2010

So I have this picture that I took, one that I really like, and it has totally been throwing me off.  For a while, I could not figure out how the heck I shot this picture.  Can you figure it out? I'll post the answer after a while, but tell me if you can figure it out.

Answer: I took it out of the passenger window into the side mirror.  You will not believe how long I had to stare at it to remember...well you might actually. But anyways, there's a good laugh for you for the day.  Taking pictures I don't even remember how I did it...

Lately I've gotten more and more into photography. I keep finding myself reading more and more about it and trying to get out and take as many pictures as possible. A couple of friends took notice of my new passion and have asked me to take some engagement pictures of them. We haven't had a chance to take too many, but we did take some while we were at the NC State Fair.

Not to fond of all the shadows in the background here.

This is one of my favorites from the day. One of those nice candid shots that turned out.

And a few more...

I can't wait to take more of these two. Josh and I "grew up" together in high school, and it's so much fun to see their love blossom.
